Our family-run agency was established by the late Philip and Sylvia Keeler in 1966. The agency’s early clients included Lambretta scooters and AC Cars, beginning a tradition of automotive-related PR.
Unusually for a PR agency, we are not fans of self-promotion. We would much rather tell our clients’ stories than our own. To that end we don’t enter PR award schemes, industry competitions or league tables. We don’t advertise for new business or issue press releases about our work. In almost 50 years, the vast majority of new clients have come to us through word of mouth recommendations from other clients, former clients and journalists. It’s a model we’re proud of, and one we are often told is ‘refreshing’.
Our core sectors include animal health, logistics, transport and technology. We are renowned B2B specialists, although as lines blur we are happy to have achieved several B2C successes. These days, we like to think we’re more H2H – human to human!
Mike KeelerManaging Director Mike’s career began as a reporter on the Southern Evening Echo before he made the switch to PR by joining his parents’ agency. Over the years he has been responsible for developing much of our animal health business in the UK and abroad. He was also a lead player in the creation of the Transport News Scottish Rewards event, now in its 21st year.
James KeelerDirector James is the third-generation in the family business and heads up the agency’s transport and logistics accounts. He takes a hands-on approach to account management, continuing his late grandparents’ business ethos of having true passion for PR, always putting the client first and going out of his way to deliver. James is also a proud trustee of transport industry charity Transaid.
Lucy HarveyAssociate Director Lucy’s creative mind and passion for communications injects fresh thinking into all of our accounts. A former journalist and magazine editor, her experience spans regional, national and trade press, corporate comms and the public sector. Nowadays she leads on media training, film production and social media campaigns for the agency, and thrives on ensuring our clients get stand-out results and excellent value from their PR.
Nic DaleyAssociate Director Nic works primarily on our animal health and technology accounts, and also takes a lead on crisis and issue management and brand strategy. Passionate about exceeding client expectations, he’s keen to not just ‘do what we’ve always done’. His news sense was originally honed at a regional paper in New Zealand, before he followed the industry-familiar ‘hunter-turned-gamekeeper’ model.
Joe Clarke Systems and Distribution Manager Joe is at the helm of our IT and systems, and in charge of all of our media distribution. His life-long interest in technology has stood him in good stead since joining the team in 1987, and he is adept at ensuring our systems remain at the cutting edge.
James BoleyAccount Manager James provides day-to-day client management, as well as strategic planning, support and guidance. After clocking up five years in international B2B journalism and four years in PR working with major consumer and business brands in the UK, James’ focus is ensuring all PR activities support clients’ business objectives.
Sarah VassalloSarah has worked in finance for 25 years, joining Garnett Keeler in 2007 and playing a key role within the team. As Financial Controller, she liaises directly with clients and suppliers over all aspects of billing and credit control. She also enjoys a well-earned reputation for having the neatest desk, bar none!
Emma ChannonWith more than five years of journalism under her belt, Senior Account Executive Emma uses her knowledge of the sector to best meet her clients’ needs. Having grown up in cattle and wine country in regional Australia, Emma’s rural background is ideal for fostering a close working relationship with her clients in the animal health sector.
Sam HargreavesAccount Executive Sam assists with our logistics and transport accounts and is a firm believer that no matter the project or event, success is always determined by preparation. He has a keen interest in politics, and has previously worked for a number of MPs, the Campaign for Real Ale and been part of a Transport policy Group.
Andrea RommelProject Manager Andrea has worked in marketing for 15 years and specialises in events and complex projects. After spending seven years working with the team in the UK, Andrea moved back to her native Germany where she continues to provide outstanding support, not least for our pan-European accounts.
Martin SpencerGraphic designer Martin’s talent for translating complex concepts into original artwork for print and digital is second to none and he leads our studio team in all aspects of artwork and illustration. A Crystal Palace fan for his sins, Martin is hard-working, straight-talking and results-driven.
Beth LawsBeth joined Garnett Keeler as a PR assistant at the start of 2013, before undertaking training to become a Junior Account Executive at the start of 2015. Born and bred in Surrey, and with A-levels in Economics, Sociology and French under her belt, she is passionate about building a successful career in PR.
Anna ReillyPR assistant Anna provides support to the whole team in all manner of ways, from compiling press packs to monitoring media coverage and helping with events. With a degree in Journalism and Media she is excited to begin her career in PR.

We are based in Carshalton, a leafy village famous for its ponds and lavender fields, easily accessible by road or rail and only half an hour from Gatwick and an hour from Heathrow. We have onsite parking for visitors and we’re only a five minute walk from Carshalton station. Clapham Junction and Victoria stations are less than 30 minutes away.
