Our family-run agency was established by the late Philip and Sylvia Keeler in 1966. The agency’s early clients included Lambretta scooters and AC Cars, beginning a tradition of automotive-related PR.
Unusually for a PR agency, we are not fans of self-promotion. We would much rather tell our clients’ stories than our own. To that end we don’t enter PR award schemes, industry competitions or league tables. We don’t advertise for new business or issue press releases about our work. In 50 years, the vast majority of new clients have come to us through word of mouth recommendations from other clients, former clients and journalists. It’s a model we’re proud of, and one we are often told is ‘refreshing’.
Our core sectors include automotive, aviation, pharmaceutical, technology and transport & logistics. We are renowned B2B specialists, although as lines blur we are happy to have achieved several B2C successes. These days, we like to think we’re more H2H – human to human!
Mike KeelerManaging Director Mike’s career began as a reporter on the Southern Evening Echo before he made the switch to PR by joining his parents’ agency. Over the years he has been responsible for developing much of our animal health business in the UK and abroad. He was also a lead player in the creation of the Transport News Scottish Rewards event, now in its 23rd year.
James KeelerDirector James is the third-generation in the family business and heads up the agency’s automotive, transport & logistics accounts. He takes a hands-on approach to account management, continuing his late grandparents’ business ethos of having true passion for PR, always putting the client first and going out of his way to deliver. James is also a proud trustee of transport industry charity Transaid.
Lucy PitcherBusiness Development Director Lucy’s creative mind and passion for communications injects fresh thinking into all of our accounts. A former journalist and magazine editor, her experience spans regional, national and trade press, corporate comms and the public sector. Nowadays she leads on media training, film production and social media campaigns for the agency, and thrives on ensuring our clients get stand-out results and excellent value from their PR.
Nic DaleyNic is Director of the agency's Pharmaceutical and Technology sectors, and also takes a lead on issue management and brand strategy. Passionate about exceeding client expectations, he’s keen to not just ‘do what we’ve always done’. His news sense was originally honed at a regional paper in New Zealand, before he followed the industry-familiar ‘hunter-turned-gamekeeper’ model.
Joe Clarke Systems and Distribution Manager Joe is at the helm of our IT and systems, and in charge of all of our media distribution. His life-long interest in technology has stood him in good stead since joining the team in 1987, and he is adept at ensuring our systems remain at the cutting edge.
James BoleySenior Account Manager James provides day-to-day client management, as well as strategic planning, support and guidance. After clocking up five years in international B2B journalism and four years in PR working with major consumer and business brands in the UK, James’ focus is ensuring all PR activities support clients’ business objectives.
Andy HemphillAccount Manager Andy works to provide support, guidance and top-notch content for automotive and transport & logistics clients. He joined the agency in 2015 after a career which began in local journalism, before spending four years as a sub-Editor for B2B publications in the global aviation and chemicals sectors.
Gary BakerGary works as an Account Manager for a mixture of automotive, transport and logistics clients. He brings nine years of journalism and publishing experience to the role, across a range of both consumer and B2B titles - most recently working across four major publications in the global aviation sector.
Sonya HaydenSonya provides day-to-day account management and strategic support to clients across the agency’s Pharmaceutical, Agriculture and B2B sectors. She brings more than 15 years’ communications experience in to the role, having managed B2B marketing for information technology and retail clients, and B2C public relations for a multinational health brand.
Charné AhmedCharné has a background in corporate communications and social responsibility. She joins the team as a Senior Account Executive, supporting our Pharmaceutical and Technology sectors. Charné is a passionate communications professional with considerable experience in writing, project management and digital communication.
Jason PritchardJason is a Senior Account Executive and supports our automotive and logistics clients. After starting his career at an award-winning regional newspaper in 2010, Jason made the transition into PR and brings with him valuable experience and his own passion and enthusiasm for the industry.
Martin SpencerGraphic designer Martin’s talent for translating complex concepts into original artwork for print and digital is second to none and he leads our studio team in all aspects of artwork and illustration. A Crystal Palace fan for his sins, Martin is hard-working, straight-talking and results-driven.
Beth LawsBeth joined Garnett Keeler as a PR assistant at the start of 2013, before undertaking training to become an Account Executive at the start of 2015. Born and bred in Surrey, and with A-levels in Economics, Sociology and French under her belt, she is passionate about building a successful career in PR.
Amy BelcherPR Assistant Amy joined the agency in 2015 after six years with the John Lewis Partnership. A BSc Psychology graduate, she has excellent analytical skills and is responsible for completing all of the agency's media monitoring analysis and KPI reporting.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Account Manager who is results-driven and can produce outstanding content for our clients.
We are based in Carshalton, a leafy village famous for its ponds and lavender fields, easily accessible by road or rail and only half an hour from Gatwick and an hour from Heathrow. We have onsite parking for visitors and we’re only a five minute walk from Carshalton station. Clapham Junction and Victoria stations are less than 30 minutes away.
