Perhaps the most distinctive thing ‘about us’ as a PR agency, is that we are never ‘about us’.
We don’t enter PR awards, we don’t announce new client wins and we NEVER cold call!
Our reputation is built purely on the results we achieve, year after year.
And the vast majority of our work comes to us via personal recommendations – both from clients and journalists.
With 60 years’ experience under our agency belt, we truly understand the needs of clients, the needs of journalists and the needs of audiences – and we work really hard to satisfy all three!
Our senior team are all former journalists, so we know exactly what makes the news and how to deal with stories – in good times and bad.
And all of our people are passionate, proactive and flexible, with media contacts in our key sectors that are second to none.
While the average PR agency and client relationship is still around two years, our average is 10 years. We think that says more ‘about us’ than we ever could. So we’ll stop there.

The Public Relations and Communications Association (PRCA) is the world’s largest and most influential PR professional body. All members are bound by a professional charter and codes of conduct, and all have to undergo a rigorous audit process every year, known as the Communications Management Standard (CMS).
The CMS combines elements of ISO9001 and Investors in People with criteria specific to a PR and communications consultancy.
According to the PRCA, achieving the CMS is proof you have a well-run business with all the correct systems and structures in place. They say: “It gives clients peace of mind that they are buying a professional service from a PR and communications company that is committed to excellence.”
Garnett Keeler has achieved the CMS for 20 consecutive years and as a result we’ve been awarded the Platinum CMS.
At the time of this being awarded (December 2023) we are the ONLY agency in the world to have earned this milestone!

It is no coincidence that many of our client relationships have lasted more than a decade, and some for more than 30 years.
We pride ourselves on becoming a true extension of our clients’ teams, and in being a continuous source of strategic advice, creativity and passion.

Our mission is your story, and that’s what drives us to AMPLIFY the brands we work with – but it doesn’t stop there. AMPLIFY is also the driving force behind our team.
By fostering authentic relationships, by making memorable moments, and by delivering excellence, we build lasting connections and make a positive impact within both our agency, and the industries we work in.

Mike joined the agency after spending his early years as a journalist on an evening newspaper and many weekends covering motorsport events for a variety of news outlets. It was working on a ‘day off’, assisting with media activities at the London Motor Show for AC Cars, a Garnett Keeler client at the time, that convinced him that PR was a path he wanted to pursue.
In his role at the agency, and now as Chairman, Mike has managed a variety of PR activities for clients on a global basis including throughout the Americas, Europe, the Far East, Africa, Russia and Australia.
In 2018 Mike led the agency’s work on the production of a quarterly newsletter produced for veterinary surgeons in Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda. This will always remain a key moment, as when the first issues were produced it was met with tremendous excitement by the recipients who could not believe they now had their own country-specific publication.

James is MD of Garnett Keeler PR, the third generation of the family to lead the agency. He officially joined the business in 1999 but recalls spending his school holidays, from the age of 10, helping to photocopy and pack press releases. Growing up immersed in agency life, he knew that he wanted to join the business at the first opportunity.
That early exposure instilled a passion for delivering outstanding client work and providing the media with first-class support, whether working for major global brands or ambitious smaller businesses. James has played a key role in evolving the agency’s offer, with a particular focus on its social media and wider digital capabilities.
In 2014, James was invited to join Transaid as a Trustee, serving on both the Board and Finance & Management Committee ever since, alongside the agency’s role as the charity’s pro‑bono PR agency for more than 25 years. In May 2026, he was lucky enough to visit Transaid’s life-saving projects in Zambia for the first time.
Outside work, James enjoys watching his children play sport, holidays in remote places, and life with the family’s first dog, NASA – a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Her approach is defined by going beyond the brief to add value and turn strategy into action.
She’s motivated by contributing to high standards across the agency’s sectors, through responsible and authentic storytelling that creates value and impact. Pippa finds little else more rewarding than seeing strong results come together and knowing that the team’s hard work is making a tangible difference.
Away from Garnett Keeler, Pippa enjoys spending time with her young family, playing netball and being pet parent to Oscar (their fabulous ginger and white cat who rules the house).

Gary joined Garnett Keeler as an Account Manager from magazine publishing back in 2016. Since then, he has put his experience working on B2C and B2B titles to good use, using his understanding of what makes a good story to deliver results for his clients in both the automotive and aviation sectors.
Having worked with words his entire career, the chance to continue to do so, specifically by unlocking engaging stories to showcase the businesses he works with, remains the driving force behind everything he does. Writing has also been joined by a host of other skills – from social media through to video production – ensuring he delivers the full remit of services that Garnett Keeler prides itself on.
As a Senior Account Director, Gary looks to share his varied experience with both his team and his clients, offering strategic advice. A lover of all things sport, when not buried in a press release, you’ll find him on the terraces of his local non-league team, Dulwich Hamlet, watching them once again fail to gain promotion.

Dan spent more than 15 years in regional and national newspaper roles before switching to PR, so he understands what makes a good news story and how best to tell it. Bringing clients stories to life, knowing the media landscape and how to write engaging content, are some of his key skills.

He understands the sector, the needs of our clients and what the media are looking for.
When not working, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage kids, walking the dogs, and playing or watching sport (mostly the latter these days).

She thrives on the variety of the role, one week shaping social media plans, the next attending global events or running scientific meetings. It’s fast-paced, ever-changing, and exactly how she likes it.
Her approach is driven by building close, long-term relationships and getting to know brands inside & out, paired with a journalist’s instinct to ask the right questions and spot what will set them apart. It’s important for her that clients know she’s in their corner, championing their goals, understanding what matters most, and making sure their presence stays true to who they are.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going to the gym, running, travelling and reading, and spends a lot of her free time with her Maltipoo, Bailey, who keeps her busy!
